Organization at a glance
Rangpur Association of the Deaf is a Deaf Peoples Organization (DPO) working in Rangpur district of Bangladesh. The organization was established on 05 June 1998 being started involving 25 persons with hearing and speech disabilities with Bangladesh National Federation of the Deaf (BNFD) now the organization has total 90 members; among them male 80 and female 10 The organization implements its activities ensuring equal participation of men and women with disabilities. According the bylaws of the organization there are 72 members in its General Committee and 15 members are in the Executive Committee. The organizational activities are implemented by the staff and volunteers following the directives of the General Secretary/ Executive Director. Through the direct involvement of the men and women with disabilities, the organization is working to promote rights of persons with disabilities and improving their lives with supports from government and non-government organizations. Besides, the organization is striving for partnership with the mainstreaming organizations for Disability Inclusion in their programs through ensuring active and meaningful participation of persons with disabilities as well as providing capacity building and technical assistance.

Rangpur Association of the Deaf is working in Bangladesh in Rangpur district. It is working in the Unions of under 8 sub-district (upazila) of Rangpur, and the Rangpur city corporation area.
